Charter fees depend greatly on the time of the booking. Early booking provides discounts of between 25 and 30 percent and the opportunity to choose between different yacht models and waters to sail in. Early booking usually means until 31 January. Most bookings are made after this date. Discounts then range from 5 to 20 percent.
Last minute booking is the riskiest strategy. Last minute booking means booking a yacht a week before embarking. Discounts can range from 20 to 50 per cent on regular prices. However, there is a strong possibility that you won’t find a yacht that best suits your needs. Therefore, when you book last minute, you have to be flexible and accept the offer you are given.
How many people will be on board? Does the crew include families with children, couples that can be accommodated in one cabin or individuals who need a cabin just for themselves? Do you need a skipper?

Sailing yachts are suitable for family vacations, groups and outdoorsy wind-loving people. They provide a great deal of comfort. Fuel consumption is minimal.
Catamarans are spacious boats, ideal for larger crews.
Motor yachts are for people who like speed and want to visit as many destinations as possible. Fuel consumption is much greater when compared to sailing yachts.
A fully crewed yacht allows you to have a carefree and completely relaxing vacation. The crew takes care of you.
When it comes to the age of a charter yacht, the best solution is a well-maintained, fully functioning one. How well a yacht is maintained depends mainly on the charter base employees and the owner’s financial resources.
